KU 14 9 26 24 - 72
After a very good training camp where we completed 10 practices and a lot team building, the 2015-16 version of our team hosted NCAA D3 opponents Manhattanville College & Kean University.
We certainly had our share of freshman type moments...which is to be expected as 9 of the 11 guys we had dressed were true freshmen. Despite that, we definitely had some flashes of potential. Due to a few of injuries at the guard position we ended up playing big line-ups all weekend against much smaller teams. At no point during the weekend did we have less than 4 guys on the floor over 6'5. That had both it's positives and negatives! We did rebound the ball very well, but struggled guarding dribble penetration at times as both of our opponents regularly had 4 or 5 guard lineups.
4th year point guard Jona Bermillo & 3rd year forward David Belanger were solid in both games. Several of our freshmen had excellent moments during the games and showed they will be able to be very good players at the CIS level.

We won't player our first CIS action until October 2nd at the Nipissing Tournament in North Bay, ON. I will keep you updated as we start to get into our non-conference schedule.
